Education and Training

Dr. Karmakar graduated from sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1996.

  • He became a medicine specialist by obtaining MCPS (Medicine) from Bangladesh college of physicians and surgeons (BCPS) ON 2002.
  • On 2004 he became a cardiologist by attaining MD (Cardiology), the highest degree in cardiology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
  • Now he is working as an Assistant Professor (Cardiology) in National Institute   of  Cardiovascular Disease, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.

Training

1) one year internship training at Sir Salimullah Medical College &  Hospital.

2) Fellow of Cardiology in Bangubandhu Sheik Mujib Medical University for 2 Years.

3) Assistant Registrar of Cardiology in National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.

4) After Passing Post Graduate Degree MD Cardiology (Masters in Cardiology) Training as Assistant Registrar of Cardiology in National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.

5) Assistant Professor of Cardiology in Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College  and Hospitals from 2006 to 2008.

6) Assistant Professor of Cardiology in National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases from 2008 to till to date.
